THE NEW KID ON THE ASFMA BLOCK TO ASFMA MEMBERS: • Interested in gaining more knowledge about different areas of Dispute Resolution or legislative updates? • Have questions regarding a tough case? A difficult client? • Wish you could brainstorm ideas with other ADR professionals? • Looking to network with fellow mediators/arbitrators? If you answered “YES” to any of the above, then ASFMA has the solution for you! Our roundtable discussion/case review forum will give our members the opportunity to review cases and receive valuable feedback from other ASFMA professionals, discuss engaging topics in a small group, and even obtain 1.5 CME credits at no cost. During each meeting, we will have experts in the field on hand as hosts and we will earmark some time for case reviews. Our topics will focus on family, dependency, county, circuit civil mediation and arbitration matters. There will be something for everyone. We at ASFMA believe that as a diverse group, we can all learn from one another-- and we expect to have a lively exchange of information and ideas. ASFMA is pleased to announce our first roundtable discussion meeting on Thursday, September 28th, 2006 , 12:45 PM until 2:00 PM at the Broward County Courthouse, 201 SE Sixth Street, Ft. Lauderdale, Room 411. I am honored to be your hostess for this meeting. The topic will be: “Child Support Challenges and Deviations : The Gross-up Method, Split Custody, the Special Needs Child and more!” Space is limited, so please RSVP to Ron Anania (Law1492@aol.com) by September 18th to reserve your seat! Also, please contact Ron with any suggestions regarding future roundtable discussions, if you would like to host a meeting, or even start your own discussion group. As always, ASFMA welcomes your participation and involvement. Looking forward to some challenging conversation! Best regards, Linda Levrey |
